About the LMU Student Health Center

The LMU Student Health Center (LMU SHC) will provide nonemergent outpatient care for all currently enrolled students, both undergraduate and graduate levels. Staff includes a licensed practical nurse (LPN), a family nurse practitioner (FNP) and doctors of osteopathic medicine who are experienced in assessment and treatment of various medical problems.

Health Insurance: Students will not be charged for office visits. If lab work is deemed necessary, insurance information will be obtained at the visit and submitted to the laboratory. The student will be responsible for paying any charges not covered by insurance. LMU SHC staff will not collect payments or submit billing to any 3rd party insurers.

At the Student Health Center we follow the most current guidelines for masking and isolation as recommended by the CDC following respiratory viruses, such as COVID and Flu. However, if you are a student that is in a clinical setting/rotation or program policy is different than the CDC, please refer to the specific guidelines and policies defined by your program or clinical setting/rotation. *The SHC adheres to the LMU inclement weather policy. If administrative offices are closed, the SHC will also be closed.

Now Offering Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)

What is OMT?

Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, or OMT, is hands-on care. It involves using the hands to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. Using OMT, an osteopathic physican will move your muscles and joints using techniques including stretching, gentle pressure and resistance. OMT can be used for many different conditions.

Who Provides the OMT?

Paula Archer, DO

Dr. Archer is a lifelong athlete who has a passion for Osteopathic Manipulation that has helped with her own concussion symptoms. She is from Alaska, attended medical school at Pacific Northwest University, and completed residency in West Virginia. She is board certified in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.

Anne Marie C. Zeller, DO, MSc, CAQSM

Dr. Zeller is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine at LMU-DCOM, Medical Director of Sports Medicine and Student Health and Team Physician for LMU Railsplitters.

She is AOA board-certified in family medicine/OMT and sports medicine.
